Programming with R (2019-2021)

seminar, Frankfurt University, 2019

Seminar on programming with R including introductory lectures and statistical programming (linear mixed models, structural equation modelling, classification approaches).

Hands-on Seminar - Psychopathology in Psychiatry (2018-2024)

medical students course, Heidelberg University, Center for Psychological Psychotherapy, 2024

This seminar combines theoretical and application aspects. Medical students learn the key aspects of psychopathology in children and adolescents and how to assess it. We learn basic skills in patient exploration and explore the key dimensions of psychopathology. In a first step, this is trained and in a second step, this is applied to actual patients.

Science Talks (2017-2024)

colloquium, Frankfurt University, Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, 2024

In this biweekly colloquium. Pre-docs and Post-doc of the department present their current science results. These are discussed in the group. In addition, one key paper is presented and evaluated.

Seminar - Evidence-based Psychotherapy (2016-2024)

postgraduate course, Heidelberg University, Center for Psychological Psychotherapy, 2025

The first part of the seminar deals with outcome research. I will introduce user-friendly techniques for evaluating meta-analyses. Based on this, we will work on relevant meta-analyses in psychotherapy research and translate medium effect sizes (e.g., d = 0.5) into practical metrics that are understandable in practice (e.g., 2/3 significantly improve through psychotherapy). We will then relate these findings to the effects of other interventions such as medication or physical activity.
